Real Estate “Fit like a glove”, for agent Phil Wright since 1962 when he first entered the business. Realizing his niche, Phil joined the Century 21 franchise in 1982 with the philosophy that he didn’t sell people houses, instead it was his privilege to help families find their homes. Century 21 has a reputation for exceptional realtors that take a genuine interest in their clients, and are equipped with the skills to deliver results. This reputation is established to the extent that Century 21 is, in fact, internationally renowned.
“I have even helped a client who had his home listed with Century 21 in Bulgaria!” said Phil, “A man was looking to sell his home in Europe, and relocate to Portland, Oregon.” The trusted and globally recognized reputation of Century 21 agents has helped drive business to Phil and other agents over the years. In addition to maintaining a reputable image that attracts home buyers and sellers, Century 21 offers their agents selling tools unmatched by other Real Estate businesses. Clients that list their homes with Century 21 are given maximum market exposure. Each listing appears on over 800 websites, and clients are provided with property exposure analytics on a biweekly basis that reports how many hits their listing has received on these websites. Sellers genuinely appreciate these analytics that so clearly demonstrate the efforts of the Realtor, and the tangible results that follow.
With over 50 years of experience in Real Estate, Phil’s advice to sellers and buyers is invaluable. So what words of wisdom does this seasoned Century 21 agent have for buyers and sellers? For sellers, it’s about taking most of what makes a home, your home, out!
“People want to be able to visualize their own furniture in the home. Remove personal photos and pictures from the walls. Take any clutter out…it’s important to keep counters clear,” said Phil “Store toasters and coffee pots, those types of things, and above all, cleanliness—especially in the kitchen and bathrooms”. Creating a welcoming and inviting entry way is also of significance. You never get a second chance to make a good first impression, and neither does your home!
Phil’s real estate advice for home buyer’s starts with sitting down with a lender early in the home buying process. Phil and all Century 21 agents have access directly with lenders to assure the buyers that they are looking for homes within their budget. Visiting a lender first and getting qualified, allows a buyer when a buyer to act quickly when they find a home that meets their needs.
“It’s a seller’s market right now” said Phil “If you don’t act quickly on a property, someone else will!” Phil’s ultimate advice for both buyers and sellers, however, is to “Ask your friends and people you know and trust, for referrals to find a really good agent, or call me,” Phil said with a laugh. If you’re in the housing market or know a friend that is, connect with Phil at one of the Chamber’s Coffee Connections or events. Phil has been an active member of the Beaverton Area Chamber of Commerce since 1982.
