Golden Valley Brewery also serves a variety of food and wines from the Willamette Valley—offering locals a menu featuring all natural Angus beef and over 5,000 pounds of organic vegetables grown solely for fresh dishes served at the restaurant. The 21 day dry-aged beef comes from the brewery owners’ ranch located outside of McMinnville. Chef John Zenger, a classically trained chef, creates diverse recipes using these local ingredients that have put this destination on the map not only for great beer, but the culinary experience as well. The Angus Springs Flank Steak Salad or Old Fashioned Roast Chicken are among owner, Peter Kircher’s, favorite dishes. A family run business, Peter and Celia Kircher founded Golden Valley Brewery in 1993 as the 12th brewery to become established in Oregon. Peter manages the brewery and restaurant along with the couple’s son, Alex. Celia manages the ranch and cattle operation.
While the Golden Valley brewery is located in McMinnville, Beaverton is the perfect location for the restaurant extension says Peter, “So many Beaverton locals care about where their food comes from and how it is raised. It is very difficult to find high quality locally raised food at a comfortable price range” though with all the local ingredients from the beef to the brew, this is precisely what the Golden Valley Brewery offers.
