Take Team Building or Weekend Fun to New Heights

June 12th, 2014

tree to tree 3Just 40 minutes from Portland lies a playground for adults.  Zoom from tree to tree, safely harnessed, and challenge your inner child on six exciting obstacle courses and an extreme zip line tour; leave your troubles behind and experience a true sense of freedom at Tree to Tree Adventure Park (T2T). This unique experience is almost indescribable even for Manager, Marissa Doyle.

“The experience is amazing. It’s so hard to put it into words unless you’ve been here, which is why we are really careful about how we describe it” said Doyle, who describes T2T as an “aerial obstacle course”, with swaying platforms, tight ropes, and zip lines, all in a beautiful setting of the PNW tree line.

T2T offers two options for the tree top adventurers, an aerial adventure park and a zip line tour. T2T’s six aerial obstacle courses grow continuously more challenging, though with the guidance of professionals, the courses are tackled at participant’s own pace. T2T also offers a six line zip line tour featuring 1,280 foot zip line and a 40 foot rappel. Unlike many zip line tours, thrill-seekers at T2T land on platforms within the trees, not just from trees to the ground. With a guide-managed braking system on the zip tour, and a state-of-the-art safety system on the aerial obstacle course, all activities are completely safe, requiring no precautions from participants which is particularly encouraging for those afraid of heights.  “So many people come here with a serious fear of heights” said Doyle, who often hears that the experience at T2T is completely “liberating”.

T2T is also known for their unconventional team building programs. Local companies like Nike and Intel, and many small businesses have worked with T2T professionals to design tailored programs to meet specific  team building goals; better communication, collaboration, cohesiveness, trust ,strategic thinking,  as well as  loyalty and  adjusting to new leadership. After discussing the organization’s specific goals and understanding the group dynamic, T2T professionals create a custom experience utilizing both aerial and ground based obstacles and activities.

tree to tree 1With many local customers that frequently visit the adventure course, Tree to Tree is continuously adding new obstacles and fun attractions that take regulars to new heights! A new racing zip line will be completed this summer, allowing participants to “race” across 300 foot lines running parallel to one another. A “Free Fall” will also be complete by the middle of summer. Heading into the summer months, now is a wonderful time to experience T2T. Tree to Tree is not only a playground for adults; there are great camp opportunities starting July 15 for ages 11 to 16. T2T is offering a new Adventure Camp this season.

“The focus (of the camps) is on becoming one with nature, and working on emotional growth and personal goal setting” said Doyle.
